Hi everyone! Tropical weathers are tough to deal with. One day there’s a temperature of 37 degrees and moderate humidity, the next day you have a bout of showers that hardly lowers the temperature, but causes a surge in humidity levels. My skin freaks out in such conditions. 😐 It’s been long that I have been religiously following a Cleansing-Toning-Moisturizing routine,as that’s the best way to beat moody weather blues. 🙂 I started off with Neutrogena, and presently continuing with Clinique.
I have been extremely happy with the results from Neutrogena. Liquid Neutrogena, and its Oil Free Moisture for Combination Skin have been inseparable parts of my skincare regime. Two of its toners – Neutrogena Deep Clean Blackhead Eliminating Toner and Fine Fairness Toner gave me good enough results. However, the paraben content in Neutrgena products started to put me off lately. That’s when on my last visit to the Clinique counter, the SA there advised me the very convenient 3-Step Skincare System. 🙂
Hi everyone! Liquid lipsticks and lip crayons are the rage these days. Only recently I talked about the amazingly affordable bunch of lip crayons from Lakme. Almost every brand has launched something in either of these categories. Some has both. 🙂 Bobbi Brown has intelligently combined both these trends into a single product – its Art Stick Liquid Lips. The look and feel is very much that of a crayon, but the product is essentially a liquid lipstick. 🙂
Bobbi Brown had created waves with its Art Sticks, that were raved about all across the beauty universe. Taking the legacy further, it created a more convenient version of lipsticks, combining the crayon and liquid formula in a single Art Stick Liquid Lip. I have not personally experienced the Bobbi Brown Art Sticks, but I was intrigued by its Art Stick Liquid Lip concept. So picked up the shade English Rose.
Hey everyone! As Cyclone Mora wraps its arms around coastal Bengal, my city is having its fair share of thunderstorms and rains. While the annual south west monsoons have ventured in the Deccan, Mora is prepping up the eastern region with its pre-monsoon showers. 🙂 The temperature over the last two days is near bearable now. But I wish I could just enjoy the rains with a cuppa and The Accusation. Sigh. Life as in dreams…
But I find other ways to perk up my day. With some colors and heady smelling products. 🙂 One indispensable component in my stash these days is The Body Shop Moringa Body Sorbet. To be using this after a cold bath in this weather makes for an icing on the cake. 😀 Read more
Hi everyone! Hope you are having a great week. 🙂 Over past few years we have seen the increase in production of lip crayons from various brands. There has been Clinique’s Chubby Sticks. And there has been Sugar, that initially launched with just four lip crayons which took the Indian market by storm. Bobbi Brown had her own range of Art Stick pencils, that were further innovated, resulting in the very unique squeezy tubes of Art Stick Liquid Lips. 🙂 Clinique recently went overboard with the crayon trend, and launched the Crayola range of Chubby Sticks in collaboration with Crayola crayons. The resemblance of the two seems so uncanny. But I’m eyeing them nevertheless. 😀
Within all the hype around lip crayons, there emerges our very own Lakme, with its very own range of lip crayons! And at an incredible price of INR 185! Want more? As an introductory offer, Lakme is providing a sharpener with each lip crayon for free! 😀 OMG OMG. These lip colour crayons came as such a surprise and shook the nation’s beauty industry. There is not a single soul out there who is not raving about this launch. Well even I am. 🙂
Hey everyone! Beaten Monday blues, haven’t you? Well I too had been struggling. 😛 Let’s wish for an eventful week ahead. But finally as the day drew to an end, I was happy to be scribbling away at my desk. 🙂
MAC has some interesting launches almost every month. One launch that I had quite been looking forward to was its Lip Scrubtious. These delicious little pots of lip scrub have been released months ago in the West. In India these launched with its uber-cool Work It Out Collection towards the end of April. On my visit to MAC at Quest, I picked one of the Scrubtious’. Believe me or not, it was not an easy choice at all. 😀 After a great deal of decision making, I let my fluttering heart settle on Sweet Brown Sugar. 🙂
There are four more variants – Sweet Vanilla, Candied Nectar, Summer Berry, and Fruit of Passion. I was torn between Candied Nectar and Sweet Brown Sugar, finally settling for the latter. Each one of these smells so delicious. I took sniffs of each of these, precisely the reason I did not buy these online. 😀 Read more
