Hi everyone, Today I’m going to talk about the Neutrogena Oil Free Moisture Combination Skin. This is a moisturizer that is a boon for oily-combination skin types. My T-zone tends to oil a lot during the major part of the year and the rest of the face remains normal. When I initially came across this I was indeed very happy. Neutrogena is a good drugstore brand that has a huge range of skincare products for almost every skin type.
The moisturiser is priced at INR 349 (previously it came for INR 299) for 118mL. You can buy it either online or from Neutrogena counters.
My Overview of the product –
The Neutrogena Oil Free Moisture for combination skin comes in a sturdy bottle with a pump dispenser. I love the pump as it dispenses just as much product as needed. So no product wastage. The bottle itself is white with light pink and mauve labels. Quite tasteful, I would say.
It is best used as a part of your daily CTM routine, that is, post cleansing and toning. Texture wise, it is very light weight and spreads like a dream. You just twist the pump dispenser on the bottle head and take out the required amount. The moisturizer has a watery consistency and applies quite evenly. It absorbs almost immediately and gives a soothing feel to the face. And the best part is that it actually “moisturises dry areas and controls shine in oily areas” just as claimed! The staying power is great too and it doesn’t even clog pores as it is non-comedogenic. This a good thing because oily skin tends to have quite a lot of pores.
The 118mL bottle easily lasts for around 8 months for me. Now that is a very good value for money.
The only complaint that I have with the Neutrogena Oil Free Moisture is that it contains parabens and silica. Perhaps the reason why it is so reasonably priced. Also it does not contain SPF. But this is not a major concern for me as I can always wear a sunscreen over it while going out in the sun. Check out the ingredients in the image below:
Overall the Neutrogena Oil Free Moisture Combination Skin can be a good option for many oily combination skin women, particularly in the humid tropical climate that we live in. It has been my savior over so many years. I love it because this was the first moisturizer that answered my skin woes years back. However it may not cater to the needs of ageing skin. But those on the greener side of 25 can enjoy using this one as it is seldom to get such an affordable moisturiser that can serve the needs for oily combination skin.
My Rating : 4.5/5
(0.5 deducted for use of parabens and silica)
