Hi everyone! MAC has come up with a gorgeous collection of cosmetics this spring in collaboration with three renowned makeup artists. It has products and colors co-created by the geniuses of James Kaliardos, Diane Kendal and Kabuki. The collection has everything ranging from versatile palettes to standalone eye and lip products. Yes it’s all colors, and sparkles, and nudes as well. 🙂
This is what MAC says about the Makeup Art Cosmetics Collection :
The heart and soul of M·A·C Cosmetics comes alive backstage through the art of makeup. Our Artists, masters of their craft, create beauty looks that impact the runway. Now, M·A·C teams up with three makeup maestros – Diane Kendal, James Kaliardos and Kabuki – in collections reflecting their signature style. Learn from the best, then make it your own!
There are 50 products in this collection and it’s hard to resist picking up a few when you have a look at them. It’s unlikely that MAC launches as many as 50 products in a collection and you don’t like at least 5 of them! 🙂 The gullible me too fell for the plethora of variations across this collection and picked up a few products. My haul includes the following :
- a cream eye shadow palette (Glamorize Me) – Diane Kendal
- a lipstick (Almondine) – James Kaliardos’
- a tricolor lipglass (the product looks just as interesting 🙂 ) in the shade Stratagloss Pyrite – James Kaliardos’,
- a retro matte liquid lipcolor (Flamingo Road) – Kabuki
- a crystal glaze gloss (It’s a Great Feeling) – Kabuki
- a pigment in Cracked Emerald (color me green 😛 ) – Kabuki
The packaging is a regular matte black with the signatures of the maestro in golden who created the corresponding product. Classy and straightforward. I love it. 🙂 Below are the glimpses of the products I got for myself!
This collection has something for everybody. Kabuki Magic has more colors while James’ has pretty jewel tones. Diane makes makeup easy by combining products in palettes. 🙂 This is to sum it all. But then you can even find nudes in Kabuki Magic, and pretty colorful kajals in Diane’s. As I said, there is a plethora of products to choose from and it’s hard to stop at just one. 😀 I am so excited to try these out and will be posting reviews of each of the beauties soon enough. So stay tuned and have a great week!
