Hi everyone!
The fall is here and another season of festivities begins. Now this post has seen quite some waiting on my part, and so finally I’m here with the review of two products from the L’Oreal Paris Infallible Paints today. I had got my hands on these the last time I was at Shoppers Stop. Not to say I had been eyeing them pretty much ever since they launched. 🙂
Liquid eye shadows are a ‘thing’ now and I picked up shade no.314 Sunset Fire from the counter. The fact that I like about liquid shadows is the mess-free application. No fallouts whatsoever, hence pretty easy to use. And of course I couldn’t leave without picking up the beautiful Intrepid Teal liquid eyeliner with the felt tip – another easy application. 😀

My Experience with from L’Oreal Infallible Paints Eye Shadow and Liner :
Sunset Fire – Eye Shadow
The 7.4 ml dual ended doe-footed cream eye shadow comes for INR 845. It has a matte coral on one end, and a lighter, shimmery one on the other. The packaging is very much like any liquid lipstick out there, to which we are pretty much familiar with. It has a consistency of a mousse, very lightweight and dries down to a powder matte finish. I dab some color with the applicator all over my eyelid and pat it with my fingers. That’s the easiest way to work with this shadow. If I feel the need of a little blending, I do so with a very light hand and a blending brush. And all this before the color completely dries down and sets on the lids. 🙂 It is not very difficult to work with its blending, and I love its super-easy application!

It applies a bit sheer on the lids, which also means it is buildable, a good thing once again. And once this sets, you can be a carefree soul. This doesn’t budge, and on my testing period of 6 hrs it was just as good. You see there are quite a few things that you can draw parallel between a liquid lipstick and a liquid/cream shadow. However, most unfortunately, it tends to crease on my oily eyelid. Yep. So I won’t recommend using it without a primer underneath, particularly for oily lids. On the other hand, the formula should work amazingly on dry lids. And while it does feel a bit awkward to use applicator on one end while the opposite weighs down, it’s nothing I won’t get used to. 😀
I absolutely love this shade, the shimmery coral is so gorgeous and apt for party looks. For this look today, I used the matte shade all over the lid, and the shimmery one at the center (once the base dried down), to add that pop of shine and shimmer! On the whole, I think L’Oreal did a pretty good innovation with the liquid eye shadows, the colors, the formula – everything. And I am so drawn towards liquid shadows purely for the comfort of application that comes with them.
My Rating – 4.25/5

Intrepid Teal – Liquid Eye Liner
I’m in love with this color. Ever since Sweaty Betty sneaked away, I’m not letting any other teal beauty slip off from my grasp. 😛 This has a compact and travel-friendly packaging, which is very convenient of course. The felt tip liner is super easy to use, and drawing precise lines is not a pain with this. And the color is a beautiful teal, that perfect mix of blue and green and I love it. It is not OTT yet subtly vivid. The pigmentation and wear time are only decent, but I expected more from the price. A good thing about this liner is that its formula is paraben free, as is evident from the list of ingredients on the packaging. 🙂 Overall I like Intrepid Teal for the pretty shade it is, but I really wish this came for a lesser price.

My Rating – 3.75/5
