Back to back ENN product reviews! All these products were whimsical purchases by me when I came across their all-black, LUSH-like packaging. Not to mention, their clean beauty claims were also part of the temptation. Along with the tinted sunscreen, I also picked up three face masks from their range. Sounds a little too much? Extravagant is the normal with me when it comes to face masks at competitive prices.
The best thing with ENN masks is that they have around 9 mask variants lined up for every skin type and concern, which left me spoilt for choice! For a face mask lover like me, I had to narrow down to just 3 of them: AC-Nay (anti-acne), Berry Bang (anti-ageing) and Cocoa Mess (moisturizing). Needless to say, all three have luscious textures that you won’t want to disturb.
So how did these fare for my skin? Are they worth the hype? Read on to know.

My Experience with ENN AC-Nay:
This was anyway going to be my first pick because – acne. My oily-combo skin is acne-prone and nothing like a skincare product that claims to banish breakouts. The packaging of all their masks is similar: a matte black tub, with a primary and secondary lids (to prevent products from drying out), a black label with necessary information. AC-Nay has a slightly gritty texture with physical exfoliating particles in a base of French Pink clay + Bentonite clay + red sandalwood. Not sure why they added the exfoliators though, since it is aimed at helping with acne. It also contains aloe vera gel and honey, along with tea tree essential oil and rose essential oil.
The fragrance is a little strong, but likeable in an energizing way. That is, it smells quite refreshing and I enjoy the sharp smell. It spreads and applies well on skin (recommend to use on damp or slightly-dried skin post cleansing). The instructions tell to keep it on for 15 minutes, but given that it is primarily a clay mask, it tends to dry up quick. I use a face mist to keep wet it so that it doesn’t tug and pull on my skin.
The mask takes some time to wash off and can get wee bit messy. You also need to use gentle hands with this because it contains exfoliating particles. But I’ll admit, I enjoy the non-abrasive action of the particles when I wash off the mask from my face in light circular motions (mind any breakout though). It cleanses the face, and regular use will keep the pores unclogged and breathing free. However I’ll admit it feels much better when my face has no major breakouts.
I reach out for this mask when I feel too clogged up or when there’s a breakout peeping on my skin surface. It helps decrease the size of the breakout and also keeps the skin fresh. However don’t expect any brightening effects with this one, as I didn’t notice any. This disappointed me at first, because my skin didn’t look as fresh as it felt after use. Definitely not a pre-party mask, but can be a post-party one, works great as a cleansing mask. Skin can also feel dry after wash-off, but it’s normal with any clay mask. Hence it’s important to hydrate and moisturize well after a tryst with this mask.
The Final Verdict:
I have mixed feelings about AC-Nay. Maybe because I had high hopes from this mask. Since it cleanses and helps reduce breakout size, I guess one can opt for it for a more regular or routine skin care regime. If you’re expecting a fresh, supple glow which shows your extra skincare effort visibly, I’m sorry this is not the one for you. Overall it feels like a gritty texture in a mushy base. However on the plus side, this mask is completely devoid of harmful chemicals, cruelty-free and herbal. AC-Nay is only just a decent enough mask for its composition and price.
My Rating: 3.75/5
