Hello everyone! To me, summer is the season to bathe, and bathe. 😀 It indeed is relieving to soak up in a downpour of cold water that induces freshness and energizes the skin. Now don’t we all agree to that? So without further ado let me continue my review series for Fuschia natural and handmade soaps. I had got a bunch of these from Myntra sometime back, and today I have the Honey variant for review. 🙂
Product Description :
- Honey is naturally antibacterial, so it’s great for acne treatment and prevention.
- It is full of antioxidants; it is great for slowing down aging.
- It is extremely moisturizing and soothing, so it helps create a glow.
- Honey is clarifying because it opens up pores making them easy to unclog.

My Overview of the Product :
Those who have been following my posts on Fuschia handmade soaps already know that the packaging is nothing fancy. This soap too, is neatly packed in a transparent cellophane and a paper wrap denoting the variant name. The color of the Honey soap is a caramel one, the lighter shade and not the burnt one.
Now coming to the fragrance part, let me tell you that I find the fragrance of this soap to be pretty amusing. 🙂 Will tell you precisely why so. I expected this soap to have a sweet, nectar-like smell since the soap variant says ”honey”. But it is not the case. The soap rather smells of a generic talcum powder to me. 🙂 No the fragrance isn’t offensive, but it it just does not feel in-sync with the name of the variant. I wish Fuschia takes only a little care in designing its fragrances.
The soap lathers moderate, like most other natural and handmade soaps. Unlike the bentonite clay variant, this also does not leave behind any residue post bath. It is gentle on the skin and does not strip off moisture. However I follow it up with a body lotion. I have noticed that I feel quite fresh post bathing with this soap. The “talcum powder”-like fragrance is the reason I guess. 😀 Told you, the fragrance ain’t bad, just that it doesn’t go with the “honey” label. I may not like talcs in general, but their fragrances are reminders of summer evenings bygone. So for me, this soap is meant for a perfect summer bath. The soap doesn’t melt and lasts for around two weeks.
The Final Verdict :
I am a self-proclaimed bath and body products’ fanatic. 😀 I love experimenting with such products and fragrance is one of the most important factors in deciding my likeability towards these. While the Fuschia Natural Handmade Soap in Honey is a good product, it’s only the fragrance that I find conflicting. Not a major con though, if you are not so specific about fragrances in a bathing soap. But again, I do find the fragrance quite fresh and energizing while on its own. You can surely try the Fuschia Honey soap, I did have a pleasant experience with this. 🙂
My Rating : 4.25/5
