My Overview of the Product :
Well till now I’m doing good at controlling my words. Hmm. Let’s see. This particular oil is called a radiance oil, sounding a little different from regular body oils. Monoi oil is basically a perfumed blend of tiare flowers (the national flower of French Polynesia) and coconut oil. This has amazing benefits to both skin and hair. It is known to have skin-protecting and skin-healing properties. I generally use this oil on my skin post bath, warming it up in my palms that makes application easy. It is a little heavy texture wise, but absorbs in moist skin pretty nice and quick. The oil itself is colorless and does not leave behind any oily residue post application. The Polynesian Monoi Oil feels rich on the skin, yet is non-greasy. It has a calming effect on both the skin and the senses.
The oil is extremely nourishing on the skin. Also I need only a little of this at a time, thanks to its richness. It makes the skin appear radiant and oh the fragrance! I absolutely love the exotic fragrance of the blissful ritual products from TBS Spa of the World. The Polynesian Monoi Radiance Oil has fragrance in the same line as the Hawaiian Kukui Cream– a perfect blend of floral and nutty (but not coconutty). It’s more on the floral side and with little hints of warm nutty aroma. Very tropical. Very me. Ahem. And I thought I would talk less. 😛
But this is it. I cannot stop myself from talking relentlessly about this beautiful product. Normally I follow this up with the Hawaiian Kukui Cream, and this works amazingly for me during the harsh winter months. And yes, the after effect is mesmerizing. The radiance oil feels so indulgent on the skin and definitely keeps skin hydrated for quite many hours. The fragrance lasts on me for quite some time when used on its own. However I haven’t used it on my hairs. My hair strands are fine and tend to get weighed down with oils. So no taking risk on that.
In addition to Monoi Oil, this product is also infused with almond, Brazil nut, sunflower and sesame seed oils. Whoa! That’s huge.
Check out the detailed ingredients list below :
Like other products in the Spa of the World range, the Polynesian Monoi Radiance Oil also comes in a honey colored, short and stout bottle with coffee colored screw cap. And the yellow markings in league with products from the blissful ritual family. I think the 170ml quantity will last me quite a few months, because I will be using it quite sparingly in summer and only when I need some pampering. As I have said and will say again, indulgent products like these are not needed. You yearn them, when you wish to gift that luxurious pampering to your skin every once in a while. 🙂
The Final Verdict :
The Body Shop Spa of the World Polynesian Monoi Radiance Oil is incredible. It is a fascinating blend of exotic oils sourced from all across the globe, that’s in keeping with the very idea of TBS Spa of the World to provide a rich, nourishing and indulgent treatment to the skin. I’m smitten with it’s lovely scent that soothes the body and mind. My affection for this oil is more so because of the love that it showers on my skin. Now there. Talked less, didn’t I? 🙂
My Rating : 5/5
