Hi everyone! As the temperature keeps surging in my city, I am always on my toes to run for a quick shower. 😛 Water, and water alone relieves me of the weather extremities. And with some really good bath and body products, bathing becomes an enthralling experience as a whole. 🙂 The foremost on my list of good bath products are the ones with amazing fragrances. I recently talked about The Body Shop Moringa Body Sorbet, and today I have their Honeymania Soap for review. 🙂
I have used their Honeymania shower gel and body butter before, and loved both. Wanted to try out their honey-comb shaped soap for long, but by the time I chanced upon it, the shape was revamped and now sells in rectangular bars. Sad. But I sincerely hoped this turned out just as good as the others in the Honeymania range. 🙂
Product Description :
This soap has a rich, floral scent and contains Community Fair Trade honey made from the nectar of over 1,000 wildflowers. Lather up for skin that feels silky soft.
- Honeycomb and bee shape
- Luxurious lather
- Rich, floral scent
We source our Community Fair Trade honey from Bezamar in Ethiopia. The honey is made in the Bale Eco-Region, where hives are handcrafted from locally grown bamboo. The raw comb is harvested and the honey is separated, filtered and tested for quality. These traditional methods promote strong, healthy bees and deter logging. It is available for INR 250 for 100g on their website, as well as on major e-commerce sites. I bought mine from the TBS store at City Centre, Salt Lake.
My Overview of the Product :
It’s been a week that I’m indulging in a bath with the TBS Honeymania Soap. The packaging as I already said, has toned down from being something extraordinary to plain and neat. The bar soap comes in a Honeymania-themed wrapper. That’s that. Neat. Nothing much to rave about.
The soap itself is a beautiful honey colored translucent piece of beauty. 🙂 The best thing about TBS Honeymania range of products is their fragrance. It’s not something sickly sweet, rather an aesthetic blend of floral and honey. You mainly get the floral notes at the first whiff. I love the fragrance of the Honeymania soap. It’s in the same line as its shower gel that I so enjoyed using. I have always loved how TBS does its fragrances – meticulous and selective for each product. Kudos for that!
The Body Shop Honeymania Soap is a treat in the summer showers. It cleanses effectively, is gentle on my skin, and does not strip my skin off moisture. Being a soap, it doesn’t impart any too. 😉 I love following this up with the Moringa Body Sorbet, which further soothes and rejuvenates my tired skin. The soap ensures a refreshing burst of energy post bath and I absolutely enjoy it. However, the shower gel used to have a better lingering fragrance, and the one from the soap wanes off too soon.
Since it’s been just a week, I cannot really say if the soap imparts all the goodness of honey to my skin. Apart from keeping my skin supple, there has been no noticeable difference in my skin. I am hoping it will help a bit with my tanning of all. :)After all it’s TBS, and I do have high expectations from them. 😛 But otherwise, this soap is simply amazing to use. Oh and it doesn’t melt at all, and is sure going to last me a month!
The Final Verdict :
As I said, The Body Shop Honeymania Soap makes for a refreshing treat in the bath. The fragrance is beautiful, that adds up to your bathing experience. The soap is gentle on the skin and does not strip it off moisture. It makes for a great start to the day and I am thoroughly enjoying using it. 🙂
