The Body Shop Glazed Apple Shimmer Mist – Review

Hi everyone! I’m going to do another TBS post today. I so adore their products. 😀 I happened to buy this TBS Glazed Apple Shimmer Mist quite whimsically the other day I was visiting the city mall. There was purely no reason, I admit. This looked so beautiful and smelled so good that I just had to get this. 🙂

It retails for INR 1695 for 100ml, but I got it on a discount (yeah I’m not that whimsical too, you see..!) 😛 .

My Overview of the Product :

The Body Shop Glazed Apple Shimmer Mist comes in an almost round glass jar, with the liquid glistening inside. The liquid is a light shade of green. The packaging reminds me of snowman. 🙂 There’s also this tiny silver ball dispersed inside the liquid. It helps mix up the shimmer with the mist when you shake it prior application. This is because the shimmer tends to settle at the bottom of the bottle when left undisturbed. I quite like it but only that it’s made of glass and hence, needs some careful handling. The fragrance is very sweet, and all I can think with a whiff of this are apple popsicles. 😛 On applying however, the strong smell gets a little subdued and that’s when I can get hints of vanilla and berries and desserts…

Well now, TBS is known to make delicious smelling products and girl this is a mist! So I can just get on and on with how great the fragrance is. But then that’s it. It’s a part of the limited edition seasonal launch from the TBS and belongs to the Glazed Apple family. So if you’ve used any of the Glazed Apple products, you might get an idea about the scent.

On spraying, The Body Shop Glazed Apple Shimmer Mist comes off as a liquid and the shimmer isn’t that prominent. After 2 minutes or so, the mist settles on the skin and you can see very fine glitters shining through. The shimmer is silver-toned, but that’s barely noticeable. I’m glad to say that it’s not an OTT shimmer and very wearable.

See how subtle it is?

The glitters aren’t chunky but are very fine, and imparts a subtle sheen. The wear time for the fragrance is around 5-6 hours. The shimmer gleams through for a good 2-3 hours after which it fades slowly. The shimmer is quite buildable and you can layer it up, provided you’re ok with the fragrance that also builds up. And yes, you can wear it on the high points of your face, and even on your hair! I, for one, avoid shimmer on my face because my skin is oily-combination, and I tend to have a few large pores. 🙂

The Final Verdict :

The Body Shop Glazed Apple Shimmer Mist is a great option when one has to attend events and parties. It can perk up your look by a notch. It can particularly help rock the Indian traditional wear. However I don’t find it suitable for daytime wear. I have used it in winters only and I’m quite satisfied with it. I’m yet to see if it’s as much wearable during the humid months as it is in winter. I won’t say I’m head over heels in love with this fragrance, but I quite like it. It does smell delectable. Those who love glitters and sparkles, should definitely give this a try. 🙂

My Rating : 4/5
