Hi everyone! I’m fighting mid-week blues with some good fragrances. 😀 Sometimes the lousy rains get me lazy and sometimes mid-week days need some freshening up as well. That’s when I grab that pretty bottle of TBS British Rose Shower Gel from the shelf and indulge in a pampering bath to awaken my senses. 🙂
Product Description :
Awaken your skin with the irresistibly dewy scent of roses. Our cleansing Shower Gel is infused with the essence of hand-picked roses from Britain to make showering feel blooming beautiful.
– Soap-free cleanser
– Rose scented and Lather rich
– With the essence of hand-picked British roses
A decent-sized bottle with 250ml product in it comes for INR 345. Super affordable for the quantity and quality you get! 🙂
My Overview of the Product :
The Body Shop has recently revamped the look of its shower gels. The British Rose one comes in a clear plastic bottle with black accents. A faint pink hint of color paired with the rest of the packaging looks so elegant. The cap is a flip one, and ingredients clearly mentioned in the label.
The shower gel is in a true gel form- a thick, transparent liquid. I absolutely love the fragrance of this gel. I actually love almost all kinds of shower gels, unless of course the smell gets me a headache. But the TBS British Rose Shower Gel has a beautiful fragrance. I tend to shy away from rose fragrances in general, because so many of them available in the market smell so artificial that I turn nauseatic. But not so with this darling. 🙂
The gel lathers well and cleanses effectively, as is expected from a bath product. Additionally it leaves behind a graceful heady fragrance of roses that lingers on. However it dries out my skin a wee bit, and given I spend so many hours in air conditioned environment, I never skip a moisturizer.
The best part of The Body Shop British Rose Shower Gel is its delectable fragrance. A bath with this is rejuvenating as it gently soothes my senses and calms my mind. The reason I emphasize so much on a good bath product because it sets my day right, and pacifies my exhaustion at the end of the day. I’m so glad the fragrance is not excruciatingly-trying-to-be-rose, rather beautifully floral as if I’m taking a stroll in a garden of roses where the gentle breeze brings in the scent of roses to my senses. 😀
The Final Verdict :
Being a self-proclaimed bath and body products’ addict, I definitely rate the British Rose Shower Gel from TBS quite high on scale. Although the SLS in the ingredient is a put-off at certain times, but I’m glad I got to try rose bath product with this shower gel. 🙂
I love the packaging and the fragrance, and how it cleanses effectively without leaving behind residue. Although it does not dehydrate my skin, it does not completely hydrate it either. But this is understandable as it is a shower gel and not a moisturizing product. 😛 If you wish for the fragrance to stay on for some more time, I’d suggest you to layer up the fragrance with the body moisturizer or butter from the same range. Better still, try the British Rose EDT. 🙂 All in all, if you haven’t tried out a rose fragrance before, the entire British Rose range from TBS can be a very good option to make a start. And for fervent rose-lovers, this one is certainly not worth a miss!
My Rating: 4.5/5
And with this, have you signed the FAAT petition on The Body Shop website? FAAT as in Forever Against Animal Testing. I’m so glad TBS took up this initiative and signed the petition right away. Check out the link at : https://foreveragainstanimaltesting.com/page/9664/petition/1
